This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Act as a regional authority on employee lifecycle events and HR operations in Canada.
β’ Offer senior-level expertise regarding Canadian market practices, compliance, legislation, benefits, payroll, and HR-related issues specific to Canada.
β’ Oversee Canadian payroll service providers, benefits brokers, HR consultants, and other collaborative partners.
β’ Work alongside Customer Services to provide strategic HR assistance for client acquisition and nurturing customer relationships.
β’ Facilitate off-boarding and termination procedures in accordance with Canadian labor regulations.
β’ Promote the adoption and integration of products and AI initiatives to enhance internal processes and HR Operations workflows.
β’ Tackle potential discrepancies through innovative negotiation and create solutions that benefit all parties involved.
β’ Utilize analytical thinking to resolve complex issues.
β’ Manage ongoing client matters and address client inquiries.
β’ Keep customer and professional information up-to-date in online portals and vendor platforms.
β’ Lead comprehensive compliance projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
β’ Propel local and global initiatives aimed at improving products and services.
β’ BS/BA degree or higher in Human Resources, International Business, Accounting, Law, or a related discipline.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, ideally as an HR Specialist, HR Generalist, or HR Business Partner.
β’ Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
β’ Extensive knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and legal obligations.
β’ Capability to juggle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
β’ Ability to prioritize, self-motivate, manage time effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively.
β’ A resourceful and flexible approach to navigating uncertainty and addressing compliance-related challenges.
β’ Proficiency in both oral and written English and French.
β’ Experience engaging with individuals internationally and appreciating diverse cultural norms, values, and communication styles.
β’ Competence in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
β’ Experience utilizing AI tools to boost productivity and streamline workflows.
β’ Willingness to work flexible hours across various time zones for international business needs.
