This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support for the agency-wide Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) concerning both Civil Service and Foreign Service human capital programs.
• Ensure ongoing maintenance and readiness for transition of the Agency’s HRIS portfolio.
• Guarantee system reliability.
• Assist with system sustainment activities.
• Prepare systems and relevant data for transition.
• Act as a technical point of contact for designated functional areas.
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to maintain data integrity.
• Develop and implement data extracts.
• Analyze data flows.
• Support activities related to transition execution.
• Prepare and validate data for migration purposes.
• Aid in tasks related to system decommissioning.
• Support cutover activities.
• Ensure continuity of operations throughout the transition process.
• Create, maintain, and organize system documentation and knowledge management resources.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Human Resource Informatics, Computer Information Systems, or a related field is mandatory.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience utilizing National Finance Center (NFC) applications.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as an HR Information System specialist, preferably in the federal sector.
• Project management experience is advantageous.
• Excellent skills in customer service and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong understanding of HR processes, HR data, and federal HR systems.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Proven capability to conduct complex data analysis, extraction, and validation using HRIS tools and reporting platforms.
• Familiarity with data migration concepts, such as data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Previous involvement in project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects.
• Ability to document systems, processes, and data structures clearly and comprehensively for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with HRConnect or other PeopleSoft systems, USA Staffing, and eOPF is preferred.
• Familiarity with Google Sheets and Docs is preferred.
• Experience using case management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) to manage and respond to user inquiries is preferred.
• Experience with Tableau is preferred.
