This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
β’ Oversee the administration of benefits, compensation, leave management, onboarding and offboarding processes, corrective actions, performance and talent management, reward and recognition programs, occupational health and safety, training and development, and HRIS functionalities.
β’ Manage the enrollment, termination, changes, and payroll deductions associated with employee benefits.
β’ Administer federal, state, and local leave programs by assessing eligibility, preparing correspondence, tracking usage, and processing disability forms.
β’ Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of HRIS structures and processes.
β’ Provide support to end-users facing HRIS access issues, application errors, and data-related problems; conduct research and testing to find solutions.
β’ Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy.
β’ Address employment-related inquiries and appropriately escalate complex or sensitive issues.
β’ Stay informed about HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
β’ Aid in the development and consistent application of company policies.
β’ Facilitate performance management plans and reviews, along with compensation adjustments and promotions.
β’ Manage employee terminations, COBRA issues, exit interviews, and separation agreements.
β’ Oversee employee recognition initiatives.
β’ Establish standard operating procedures and maintain comprehensive functional documentation.
β’ Collaborate with leadership to automate recruitment, onboarding, merit, bonus incentives, and separation processes.
β’ Update the ATS to enhance and automate recruitment efficiency.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.
β’ Generally requires 4β6 years of related experience.
β’ Experience in an HR generalist or business partner role.
β’ Proven experience in administering benefits and leave for a multi-site organization.
β’ Broad knowledge of global HR functions, including international recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and learning and development.
β’ Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local HR laws and regulations, particularly in a government contracting context.
β’ Required experience in a government contracting environment.
β’ Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently with managerial oversight.
β’ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
β’ Capacity to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
β’ Skill in organizing work and setting priorities with minimal supervision.
β’ Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
β’ Proven track record of developing and maintaining effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
β’ Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
β’ SHRM-CP, PHR, or another relevant HR certification is preferred.
β’ Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.
