Human Resources Compliance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Responsible for upholding and facilitating the development of essential multi-state regulatory policies and practices to ensure adherence to compliance.

• Serve as a strategic advisor to guarantee that operational processes and system configurations are established to meet compliance obligations.

• Complete, validate, support, and audit both internal and external processes pertaining to employee compliance.

• Ensure regulatory adherence by following, maintaining, and proposing enhancements to compliance measures.

• Periodically generate reports and conduct audits of HR files to verify that all required documents align with compliance standards.

• Develop reports using internal systems and software applications.

• Act as the main contact for I-9 management and address I-9 verification matters.

• Oversee the implementation of compliance obligations and act as the escalation point for issues related to regulatory matters and job requirements.

• Assist in retrieving documents for regulatory audits from the Department of Human Services, The Joint Commission, and the Department of Transportation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old with the education and/or experience necessary to fulfill the functional competencies specified in the job description.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or HR Compliance.

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or a related field is preferred.
