HR Shared Services Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Play a crucial role in the regional HR Shared Services function, overseeing data transactions and processes with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

• Manage various HR processes in compliance with country policies and local regulations for the EMEA region, including the UK, Ireland, South Africa, UAE, Italy, France, Spain, Poland, Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland.

• Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.

• Prepare and manage HR documentation, including employment contracts, addendums, employment verifications, and certifications.

• Conduct regular audits and controls to ensure the highest quality and integrity of data in our HR systems (Workday and others).

• Manage and respond to employee inquiries within reasonable timeframes and/or agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to address complex queries and propose effective solutions.

• Assist employees and managers in utilizing Workday and other HR systems to facilitate technology adoption.

• Optimize and enhance our standard operating processes, along with our Workday HRIS, integrating project management skills, HR domain knowledge, and expertise in the Workday system to support this responsibility.

• Coordinate the successful completion of project deliverables, identify risks and challenges, develop mitigation plans and solutions, and assist in implementing changes and solutions for corporate change initiatives impacting various functions and processes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3+ years of experience in the Human Resources function, preferably providing services in a shared service center environment for an international client group.

• Familiarity with the Workday HR information system.

• Strong knowledge of employment law and broader HR function practices.

• Proficient in HR processes throughout the employee life cycle and related standard operating procedures (e.g., onboarding, job changes, leave of absences, offboarding).

• Experience leading or contributing to HR projects/programs, with a strong ability to support change management.

• Background in continuous improvement, with a proven ability to identify needs, explore options, seek solutions, and collaborate to resolve issues.

• Capacity to work efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong technological skills (Workday HCM, Co-Pilot, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, DocuSign, etc.).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of additional languages is a plus).

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with partners and stakeholders in a remote and multi-country environment.

• Proactive in suggesting process and system improvements and driving forward change.

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong organizational skills, capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
