This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee daily HR activities for personnel engaged with VA, DoD, and various government contracts.
β’ Ensure adherence to federal and state employment regulations, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, and the Service Contract Act (SCA).
β’ Assist in corporate recruiting initiatives, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
β’ Manage team Outlook for urgent issues, HRIS systems, and reporting functionalities.
β’ Maintain precise employee records in line with company policies and federal contract stipulations.
β’ Aid in the implementation and upkeep of HR policies and procedures.
β’ Collaborate with the Benefits and Leave Specialist on: Open enrollment, ACA compliance, employee benefits administration, and invoicing.
β’ Track and report on employee training obligations (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission, contract-specific training).
β’ Ensure compliant I-9 documentation is maintained.
β’ Guarantee HRIS data accuracy through audits and best practices in data entry.
β’ Work collaboratively across departments while also functioning independently.
β’ Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
β’ At least 3 years of HR experience in an HR Assistant or a comparable position.
β’ Preferred experience in supporting federal contracts (VA, DoD, or similar agencies).
β’ Familiarity with SCA, FAR, DFARS, and compliance audits is preferred.
β’ Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now is preferred).
β’ Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems.
β’ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management capabilities.
β’ Ability to manage sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
β’ Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and a heightened sense of urgency.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Sedentary work.
β’ Capability to sit for prolonged periods.
β’ Frequent utilization of computers, typing, and communication tools.
β’ Ability to set up and operate company-provided equipment.
