📋 Description

• Oversee daily HR activities for personnel engaged with VA, DoD, and various government contracts.

• Ensure adherence to federal and state employment regulations, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, and the Service Contract Act (SCA).

• Assist in corporate recruiting initiatives, onboarding, and offboarding processes.

• Manage team Outlook for urgent issues, HRIS systems, and reporting functionalities.

• Maintain precise employee records in line with company policies and federal contract stipulations.

• Aid in the implementation and upkeep of HR policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with the Benefits and Leave Specialist on: Open enrollment, ACA compliance, employee benefits administration, and invoicing.

• Track and report on employee training obligations (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission, contract-specific training).

• Ensure compliant I-9 documentation is maintained.

• Guarantee HRIS data accuracy through audits and best practices in data entry.

• Work collaboratively across departments while also functioning independently.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• At least 3 years of HR experience in an HR Assistant or a comparable position.

• Preferred experience in supporting federal contracts (VA, DoD, or similar agencies).

• Familiarity with SCA, FAR, DFARS, and compliance audits is preferred.

• Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now is preferred).

• Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management capabilities.

• Ability to manage sensitive information with strict confidentiality.

• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and a heightened sense of urgency.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
