HTML Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Prepare scientific manuscripts using Microsoft Word, which includes converting files from .doc to .docx and rectifying formatting issues.

• Utilize Python scripts to convert .docx files into HTML code.

• Input manuscript text into digital publication platforms for distribution.

• Incorporate the necessary HTML and CSS tags to ensure articles are displayed correctly online.

• Adjust manuscript graphics for optimal sizing and web presentation.

• Verify author, institution, and reference details for accuracy.

• Manage character entities, particularly science-related Greek characters, to guarantee proper rendering.

• Format, validate, and amend XML manuscript versions for submission to PubMed Central.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree.

• Proficiency in HTML and CSS is required, including nested lists, tables, and inline/block elements.

• Experience with Python execution is essential.

• A solid understanding of XML structure and its applications is necessary.

• Familiarity with image editing and formatting techniques is important.

• Knowledge of HTML entities, mathematical symbols, and Greek characters is advantageous.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Quick to learn, with effective problem-solving capabilities and the ability to tackle new and complex challenges.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects and issues independently.

• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
