This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of functional, business, and overall company objectives related to HRSGs and their associated scope.
• Develop and integrate engineering solutions that cater to customer specifications and business requirements.
• Engage in long-term strategic planning alongside EAE resource managers throughout the Americas.
• Manage the technical aspects of proposals for GE Combined Cycle power plant configurations.
• Collaborate with Commercial Operations, Product Engineering, and Product Management teams to secure profitable projects.
• Execute complex tasks independently and address unique or challenging issues.
• Work together to introduce new product introduction (NPI) features and products to enhance the competitiveness of HRSGs.
• Offer guidance, direction, and oversight to ensure the global HRSG Application Engineering team's success and the quality of proposals.
• Lead interactions related to ITO with pre-ITO, Product Line, Product Engineering, OTR, and global HRSG Application Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with EAE resource managers to support the development of HRSG Application Engineers and provide constructive feedback.
• Aid in the distribution of proposal workload by being cognizant of the strengths and capabilities of global team members.
• Establish the proposal strategy for HRSG and related equipment on large and complex projects.
• Create and deliver technical training and development opportunities for the global HRSG Application Engineering team.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Drive improvements in processes, tools, and methods to enhance quality and productivity.
• Craft market-winning proposals that anticipate business and product needs.
• Provide technical reviews, feedback, and consultation to customers and internal GE teams regarding HRSG and related areas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• Extensive design engineering and/or application engineering experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in Equipment Application Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience focused on HRSG.
• Significant experience collaborating with customers on combined-cycle power projects.
• Proven expertise in HRSG value creation, including performance/design optimization, cost-reduction initiatives, ITO process/tools enhancement, quoting limits, product structuring, and carbon capture NPI programs.
• Established relationships and interactions with customers in North America.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with site-oriented operations, including HRSG erection and maintenance when interacting with customers.
• Knowledge or experience in Commercial Operations, Application Engineering, and Requisition Engineering processes across NPI, ITO, and OTR.
• Understanding of HRSG ITO or OTR processes.
• Proficiency in heat balance diagrams and HRSG thermal design.
• Capability to size and optimize HRSGs effectively.
• Experience in designing HRSGs and related equipment for combined-cycle power plants.
• Comprehension of the technical requirements for combined-cycle plants, HRSGs, and associated equipment.
• Ability to document, strategize, market, and manage programs that enhance business knowledge and capability.
• Strong problem analysis and resolution abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership in establishing industry standards for HRSGs and teaching best practices internally and externally.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
