This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Handles incoming calls and emails, delivering tailored customer service by addressing the needs of the caller or redirecting them to others who can assist.
β’ Monitors all calls and emails to compile reports on usage and other related metrics.
β’ Mitigates situations involving dissatisfied individuals by providing support and assistance.
β’ Assists callers in navigating the various platforms of the institution, including UT Health Performs, UT Health Learns, Kronos, and Benefit Focus.
β’ Collaborates across all areas of Human Resources to improve processes.
β’ Engages in special projects as assigned, contributing to the achievement of UT Health goals within the Office of Human Resources.
β’ Executes all other duties as assigned.
β’ Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and practices.
β’ Proficient in personal computer/software, HRIS systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
β’ Competent in data entry and data analysis.
β’ Proficient in critical thinking to resolve issues through generating, evaluating, and implementing solutions.
β’ Effective communicator both verbally and in writing, ensuring regular, consistent, and meaningful information delivery.
β’ Ability and integrity to manage highly confidential information while maintaining privacy.
β’ Capability to operate within strict deadlines and manage competing priorities.
β’ Skill in identifying process and procedural challenges and proposing solutions.
β’ Ability to cultivate relationships within the unit, HR, and across functional areas.
β’ General understanding of employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and USERRA.
β’ A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
β’ This is a remote position; candidates must reside in Texas.
β’ Medical - UT SELECT Medical insurance is provided at no cost for employees, managed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. Family members can be added to the plan via payroll deduction. Employees and their dependents also benefit from reduced copays and coinsurance when utilizing UT Health Physicians, a network of 800 leading physicians, including over 100 specialists. Employees receive complimentary group term life insurance of $50,000 and basic accidental death and dismemberment insurance of $50,000, with options to purchase additional coverage for themselves and their dependents at group rates.
β’ Dental - Employees and their families can choose from three dental insurance plans available through Delta Dental Insurance Company, including two PPOs and one dental HMO plan. Both PPO options allow employees to select any licensed dentist.
β’ Vision - Comprehensive Vision Care benefits are provided by Superior Vision Services, offering two plan options with either standard or enhanced vision benefits.
β’ Disability - Employees have the opportunity to enroll in Disability Insurance, which offers income support in the event a non-work-related illness or injury prevents them from working.
β’ FSAs - Employees can enroll in flexible spending accounts (FSAs) to allocate pre-tax earnings for eligible dependent care or out-of-pocket healthcare expenses.
β’ Retirement - Employees are eligible for either the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) or the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP). TRS is a defined benefit retirement plan with matching contributions from UT Health, while ORP is available for eligible faculty and staff. Additional voluntary retirement programs are also offered for investing before- or after-tax dollars through five quality retirement plan providers.
β’ Time Off - A generous leave program provides several paid leave options:
β’ - Front-loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, awarded at the beginning of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in the first year based on the hire date.
β’ - Extended Illness Bank: 8 hours (1 day) accrued monthly, usable for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off has been taken.
β’ - Paid Family Leave: Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of continuous employment.
β’ - Holidays: 12 paid holidays each year.
