This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Act as a strategic HR partner to business leaders in Commercial, Corporate Strategy & Ops, and Finance, fostering trust and developing people strategies that enhance business performance, growth, and organizational well-being.
• Function as an organization architect, not merely an advisor, by leading and collaborating on role clarity, team design, spans and layers, decision-rights clarity, and the evolution of operating models to boost agility and execution.
• Oversee strategic and operational workforce planning and capability development, converting business strategy and transformation priorities into insights regarding future skills, critical roles, talent risks, and needs for redeployment or reskilling.
• Assist leaders in navigating workforce changes related to AI, including the redesign of roles, workflows, and team structures to facilitate effective collaboration between humans and AI.
• Use sound judgment in AI-driven people decisions by aiding leaders in evaluating risks, biases, governance issues, managerial impacts, and implications for employee experience.
• Leverage people data, workforce insights, and business context to impact leadership decisions and propose actionable recommendations that enhance organizational and talent outcomes.
• Lead and collaborate on change management initiatives associated with growth, restructuring, new operating models, technology adoption, and process enhancements.
• Mentor leaders and managers on effective leadership, team performance, talent decisions, organizational dynamics, and preparedness for change.
• Thoughtfully utilize AI tools and automation to optimize HRBP workflows (for instance, drafting communications, analyzing people data, preparing leadership materials, and scenario modeling) to free up capacity for high-judgment, strategic tasks.
• Collaborate with leaders to evaluate talent, fortify succession pipelines, and expedite development for essential capabilities and leadership positions.
• Work with People & Culture centers of excellence to deliver cohesive solutions across talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, learning, and employee relations, ensuring workforce implications are effectively integrated into coordinated actions.
• In collaboration with Employee Relations, offer guidance on complex personnel issues, balancing risk management, employee experience, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
• Help implement a systematic approach to measuring the effectiveness of P&C strategies, including progress in organizational effectiveness, talent health, capability readiness, and the adoption of new ways of working.
• Over 10 years of HR business partnering experience, including substantial experience in supporting leaders within dynamic environments.
• Experience working with Commercial, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams is advantageous.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and translate business strategies into people, organizational, and talent priorities.
• Extensive expertise in organizational design/development, leadership coaching, change management, talent strategy, and overall organizational effectiveness.
• Strong fluency in AI, with the ability to diagnose how AI affects work, jobs, skills, workflows, and team structures; guide leaders on when work should be automated, redesigned, redeployed, or remain human-led; and pinpoint where human judgment, oversight, or new roles are necessary.
• Proficient in strategic workforce planning, including the capacity to convert future capability inquiries into actionable sequencing, talent, resourcing, and organizational design considerations.
• Solid analytical mindset and comfort in utilizing people data, business data, and AI-driven insights to inform recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience in applying AI tools in day-to-day HR or business partnering tasks to enhance efficiency, quality, or insights (for example, leveraging generative AI for analysis, drafting, or scenario exploration while exercising sound judgment regarding its use).
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to constructively challenge assumptions and build consensus among diverse leaders.
• High level of judgment, particularly in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, coupled with a practical, collaborative, and action-oriented approach.
• A systems-thinking perspective that links workflow design, manager experience, capability development, employee experience, and implications for people systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Availability to work during core business hours (8:00 AM PST to 5:00 PM PST) and flexibility to extend hours as business needs arise; willingness to travel up to 25-30% domestically and seasonally as required.
