This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main HR point of contact for employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, programs, and general inquiries.
• Assist with employee relations issues, including documentation, performance-related concerns, attendance matters, policy interpretation, and workplace issues.
• Aid in investigations, documentation of corrective actions, and follow-up processes.
• Oversee and manage Leaves of Absence, incorporating FMLA and other relevant leaves.
• Coordinate the leave process from employee request to their return to work.
• Facilitate the ADA accommodation interactive process while maintaining confidential records.
• Collaborate with payroll, benefits providers, managers, and stakeholders on matters related to leave and accommodations.
• Keep track of LOA and ADA records, ensuring timely follow-ups on deadlines, certifications, extensions, return-to-work dates, and documentation.
• Maintain HR trackers for employee relations, LOA, ADA accommodations, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and other people processes.
• Review trackers and HR records for thoroughness, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
• Generate recurring and ad hoc HR reports, summaries, and status updates for HR leadership.
• Recognize trends, gaps, and opportunities to enhance HR processes, documentation, and reporting.
• Assist with onboarding, employee transitions, offboarding, and maintaining employee lifecycle records.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, conducting audits, postings, record retention, and policy acknowledgments.
• Revise HR policies, procedures, templates, and employee communications as needed.
• Engage in HR projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• A minimum of 3 years of HR Generalist or comparable HR experience.
• Practical experience in managing Leaves of Absence, including FMLA and applicable state leave laws.
• Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act and experience in supporting the accommodation interactive process.
• Experience in maintaining HR trackers, monitoring deadlines, following up on tasks, auditing data, and reporting progress.
• Background in supporting employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and HR documentation.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws along with HR compliance requirements.
• Experience with HRIS and/or case management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and other related business applications.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail with accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of handling confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion and sound judgment.
• Ability to work independently while appropriately escalating complex or high-risk matters.
• SHRM-CP or a similar HR certification.
• Experience in supporting a multi-location, retail, hospitality, beauty, wellness, or other service-oriented organization.
• Advanced skills in Excel and reporting, including the creation of HR dashboards or tracking tools.
• Experience in identifying and implementing improvements in HR processes.
• Base salary range of $65,000-$70,000 plus up to 20% annual bonus.
