This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable initial point of contact for employees and supervisors, managing HR mailbox inquiries and requests for employment verification.

• Offer insights on HR policies, benefits, programs, and procedures.

• Oversee and track leave administration via HRIS platforms.

• Assist with the onboarding and orientation of new hires, ensuring proper completion of employee documentation and access to resources.

• Guide introductions to organizational policies, procedures, and HR programs.

• Manage employee lifecycle transactions, which include hiring, terminations, status changes, transfers, leaves of absence, and position modifications.

• Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of HRIS data and employee records.

• Participate in the formulation, execution, and enhancement of HR policies, procedures, and practices.

• Keep updated on relevant employment legislation and regulatory requirements.

• Engage in strategic HR projects, programs, and cross-departmental initiatives.

• Assist with federal, state, and provincial reporting for both the U.S. and Canada.

• Oversee U.S. employment eligibility verification, including handling I-9 documentation and E-Verify processes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is essential.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.

• Comprehensive understanding of HR principles, best practices, employment standards, and regulatory requirements in Canada and the United States.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time-management capabilities.

• Capacity to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.

• Experience with Dayforce is considered a valuable asset.

• Professional judgment, discretion, and integrity when managing confidential information.

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in Canada.

• Employer is unable to sponsor or transfer sponsorship of an employment visa/work permit.
