This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Serve as a trusted consultant to managers regarding team structure, capability gaps, workforce planning, and change management.
β’ Assist managers in navigating performance management procedures, including Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), verbal and written warnings, and coaching documentation.
β’ Investigate and resolve employee relations concerns using sound judgment, discretion, and legal defensibility.
β’ Ensure the consistent and equitable application of policies across teams and states.
β’ Collaborate with talent acquisition specialists to support hiring initiatives for designated business units.
β’ Facilitate onboarding processes, career development discussions, and internal mobility opportunities.
β’ Ensure adherence to federal employment legislation (Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA) and relevant state/local employment regulations.
β’ Provide guidance on at-will employment factors and state-specific termination requirements.
β’ Maintain precise, audit-ready documentation for all employee relations issues.
β’ Proactively identify and mitigate legal or reputational risks, including compliance gaps across multiple states.
β’ Ensure the accuracy of HRIS data for assigned client groups.
β’ Recognize process deficiencies and suggest scalable, sustainable solutions.
β’ Contribute to broader HR initiatives, including policy development and engagement programs.
β’ Oversee complex and challenging HR projects across functions.
β’ 3 to 5+ years of progressive HR generalist or HR Business Partner experience, preferably in a multi-entity or software/tech setting.
β’ SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is required.
β’ Strong understanding of federal employment law and experience with multi-state compliance (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, state-specific leave and wage laws).
β’ Proven experience managing employee relations cases and performance documentation.
β’ Exceptional judgment, discretion, and the ability to navigate uncertain situations.
β’ Experience supporting a matrixed organization across state lines.
β’ Familiarity with M&A-related HR integration processes.
β’ Knowledge of cross-border employment considerations (Canada or international).
β’ Proficient in HRIS; Workday experience is preferred.
