This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as a reliable HR advisor to designated client-group leaders concerning organizational structure, performance management, policies, and personnel decisions.
• Guide junior HR staff in areas such as employee relations, workplace investigations, and compliance.
• Manage employee lifecycle processes, including work visa and immigration issues, leave management, termination discussions, and severance negotiations.
• Oversee programs related to recognition, engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as employee resource groups and pulse surveys.
• Handle workplace investigations from the initial report through to findings documentation.
• Provide counsel to executives on high-risk separations and legal-related matters in collaboration with the Legal team.
• Manage the ADA interactive process and address complex leave and accommodation situations.
• Oversee compliance initiatives, including audits related to FLSA classification.
• Create policies and procedures considering multi-state compliance requirements.
• Advise the Director of People Operations on matters of risk and compliance.
• Maintain professional relationships with external employment counsel.
• Design and implement job-leveling and pay-band strategies.
• Assist in the administration of annual commission and variable compensation agreements.
• Suggest benefits enhancements based on the needs of client groups.
• Ensure HR data integrity, metrics, and reporting are maintained.
• Utilize AI responsibly to automate processes and enhance efficiency.
• Lead projects, growth initiatives, and strategic cross-functional initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance, Talent, Learning & Development, Legal, HR Generalists, and HR Specialists on workforce planning, development, employment issues, employee inquiries, records, and HRIS management.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as an HR business partner or generalist, with direct involvement in employee relations and workplace investigations.
• Proven track record of consulting with and advising leaders on organizational and personnel decisions.
• Comprehensive understanding of federal and multi-state employment laws, leave and accommodation frameworks, and compensation structures.
• Experience managing sensitive, high-risk personnel issues with sound and defensible judgment.
• Ability to foster trust and influence without direct authority among executives and cross-functional peers.
• PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
