This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and management to grasp business objectives and align HR strategies and initiatives accordingly.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders regarding HR issues and organizational effectiveness.
• Identify trends, issues, opportunities, challenges, and risks within the HR landscape.
• Support and promote initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
• Assist in creating a top-tier remote BPO that prioritizes employee experience.
• Ensure adherence to Malaysian labor laws and local employment regulations.
• Provide counsel on contracts, working hours, leave entitlements, disciplinary actions, terminations, and legal obligations.
• Keep abreast of Malaysian employment legislation and relay pertinent updates.
• Coordinate with the Employer of Record to maintain compliance, manage employee lifecycle processes, and reduce organizational risk.
• Develop, implement, and assess HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Educate employees and managers on HR policies and ensure compliance.
• Conduct audits to evaluate policy adherence and identify areas for enhancement.
• Offer guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
• Investigate employee grievances and concerns in accordance with company protocols and local labor laws.
• Mediate conflicts and facilitate communication between employees and management.
• Analyze HR metrics and data to uncover trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and deliver HR reports containing insights and recommendations to management.
• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Extensive experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist.
• Strong focus on Malaysian labor law and corrective action processes.
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian HR practices.
• Experience with an Employer of Record (EOR) model is a plus.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• An analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for insights and informed decision-making.
• Proficient in handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Fluency in English is essential.
