HPC Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Deploy, manage, and maintain AI/HPC infrastructure within Linux-based environments for both new and existing clients.

• Act as the subject matter expert, guiding customers from initial planning discussions through to implementation.

• Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to analyze, define, and execute large-scale AI/HPC initiatives.

• Provide comprehensive documentation related to handover processes and conduct knowledge transfers as customers initiate the rollout of advanced systems.

• Offer constructive feedback to internal teams by logging bugs, documenting workarounds, and proposing enhancements.

• Operate across networking, system design, and automation while functioning as the technical expert that interfaces directly with customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 3 years of experience delivering comprehensive support and deployment services for hardware and software solutions.

• Familiarity and hands-on experience with AI Factory / HPC.

• Proficient in Linux system administration, process management, task scheduling, kernel management, boot procedures, troubleshooting, performance reporting, and optimization.

• Experience utilizing cluster management technologies.

• Proficiency in scripting.

• Capability to maintain and deliver solutions for customer-critical issues.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong organizational abilities with a talent for prioritizing and multitasking with minimal oversight.

• Experience with scheduling systems such as SLURM, LSF, or PBS.

• Industry-standard Linux certifications are advantageous.

• Experience with InfiniBand or Ethernet is a plus.

• Background in GPU-focused hardware/software is beneficial.

• Familiarity with MPI is an advantage.

• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Salt, Puppet, or similar is beneficial.
