Housing Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Advocate for and advance Sedgwick’s mission, strategic vision, and value proposition to both adjusters and policyholders.

• Act as a primary point of contact for adjusters and landlords throughout the insured relocation process.

• Oversee the entire lease extension process, which includes securing approvals, updating lease terms, managing timelines, and setting expectations.

• Keep track of upcoming lease expirations to avoid service interruptions.

• Organize and address in-stay service requests, such as furniture exchanges, additional items, and maintenance issues.

• Collaborate with landlords, property managers, and vendors to develop service solutions and extension agreements.

• Investigate and rectify issues related to property conditions, damage, and vendor performance.

• Maintain accurate financial and operational records, including client ledgers, extension costs, move-out coordination, lease terminations, and security deposit reconciliation.

• Record communications, updates, and actions within internal systems.

• Identify potential risks, delays, or service failures and escalate them as necessary.

• Deliver exceptional service for VIP or complex claims.

• Manage multiple claims while adhering to service-level expectations and deadlines.

• Contribute to quality programs and perform other assigned tasks.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in leasing, property management, customer service, or account management.

• Previous experience in insurance, temporary housing, property management, or real estate is highly preferred.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills necessary for managing a high volume of extensions, deadlines, and service requests.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on billing accuracy, lease documentation, and system updates.

• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and a willingness to learn internal systems and CRM platforms.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

• Strong coordination and relationship management skills.

• A solutions-oriented mindset with a proactive approach.

• High level of accountability, urgency, and ownership.

• Credit security clearance, verified through a background credit check, is required.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
