This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Facilitate daily interactions with individuals seeking assistance from the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline.

• Provide psychosocial support, referrals, resources, evidence-based information, and brief interventions to pregnant and postpartum individuals, their families, and support systems.

• Respond to incoming inquiries via telephone, text, and chat, while conducting assessments to identify the nature of each contact.

• Educate individuals seeking help about available perinatal mental health resources and services.

• Refer individuals to suitable services and resources as outlined in approved directories.

• Maintain thorough, accurate, detailed, and timely real-time documentation of cases in Salesforce, in compliance with established policies and procedures.

• Uphold professionalism in the virtual workspace and on communication platforms.

• Engage fully with the remote team, including communication during shifts via Slack and other designated mediums.

• Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of each individual seeking help and their information.

• Attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings, training sessions, and developmental activities for the Hotline project.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (psychology, social work, counseling, etc.) is preferred.

• Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications: Licensed Mental Health Clinician (such as a Professional Counselor, Social Worker, Psychotherapist, Psychologist, or Marriage and Family Therapist); Licensed Healthcare Professional with experience in maternal and child health (such as a Nurse, Nurse Midwife, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Psychiatrist); or National or State-Certified Doula, Lactation Consultant, Childbirth Educator, or Peer Specialist.

• A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in the profession, specifically with the maternal and child health population.

• Professional liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate.

• Proven proficiency in utilizing software applications, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, internet browsers, and search directories.

• Ability to manage conflict and tolerate distress while assisting individuals seeking help.

• Capability to multitask and manage potentially unpredictable and high-acuity contacts within the mental health environment.

• Ability to work independently and complete assignments according to given instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

• Flexibility to adapt to immediate changes and requirements as specified in policies, procedures, processes, and guidance.

• Must successfully pass a Non–Sensitive Tier II - Moderate Check and Clearance background check (administered by HHS).

• Must fulfill all training requirements as per Postpartum Support International training policies and procedures.

• Must be committed to the vision of Postpartum Support International and passionate about its mission.

• Must have optimal (high) internet speeds and the ability to maintain these speeds for effective operation of systems and platforms.

• Must have a quiet, secure office space to ensure privacy and confidentiality.

• Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

• Required to sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear while regularly performing the duties of this job; extensive computer use requires sufficient hand dexterity for keyboard use and the ability to read a computer screen.
