This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Respond to incoming inquiries via phone, text, and chat.
• Conduct evaluations to ascertain the nature of contacts and deliver immediate psychosocial support, evidence-based information, and brief interventions.
• Inform help-seekers about perinatal mental health resources and services.
• Refer help-seekers to suitable services and resources from approved directories.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, detailed, and timely real-time case documentation in Salesforce.
• Ensure that documentation complies with established policies and procedures.
• Uphold professionalism in the virtual workspace and on communication platforms.
• Interact and engage with the remote team, including communicating during shifts via Slack and other designated platforms.
• Safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of help-seekers and their information.
• Attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings, training sessions, and development activities for the Hotline project.
• Facilitate daily interactions with help-seekers of the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline, providing psychosocial support, referrals, and resources to pregnant and postpartum individuals, families, and support networks.
• Serve as the primary contact for incoming inquiries, coordinating with Services/Operations and Clinical teams.
• Fluency in Spanish is mandatory.
• Must possess a valid license as a Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Healthcare Professional with maternal and child health experience, or be a National/State-Certified Doula, Lactation Consultant, Childbirth Educator, or Peer Specialist.
• A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in working with the maternal and child health population.
• Professional liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 in total.
• Proven proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, internet browsers, and search directories.
• Capable of managing conflict and tolerating distress while supporting help-seekers.
• Ability to multitask and respond to potentially unpredictable and high-acuity contacts within the mental health context.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks according to established instructions, routines, and accepted practices.
• Adaptability to immediate changes and requirements in policies, procedures, processes, and guidance.
• Must fulfill and pass a Non-Sensitive Tier II - Moderate Check and Clearance background check conducted by HHS.
• Completion of all training mandated by Postpartum Support International is required.
• Commitment to the organization's vision and mission is essential.
• Must maintain optimal internet speeds for effective performance.
• Must have access to a quiet and secure office space to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
• Ability to perform essential job functions safely and successfully in accordance with ADA and applicable standards.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear; extensive computer usage necessitates sufficient hand dexterity and the ability to read a computer screen.
