This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Investigate claims that are moderately complex and, at times, complex, whether represented or unrepresented.
• Manage personal liability claims that are moderate and occasionally complex in nature.
• Conduct recorded statements and address loss-of-use claims.
• Process payments to the relevant parties.
• Negotiate and finalize settlements for third-party property damage claims.
• Assess estimates for the evaluation of claims settlements.
• Coordinate appraisals for highly complex and disputed claims.
• Establish coverage limits and determine claim values.
• Set and revise reserves while documenting the rationale and summarizing claims.
• Act as the primary liaison for policyholder attorneys and lead direct negotiations.
• Draft and respond to attorney correspondence, requests for information, and demands.
• Research and address customer communications, concerns, conflicts, and issues.
• Summarize documents and maintain notes and files within the claims system.
• Analyze contracts, such as lease agreements and condominium documents, as needed.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in claims management.
• Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone.
• Capable of working independently and remotely while efficiently managing time.
• Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability assessment.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for evaluating claims.
• A dedicated home office workspace that is free from distractions.
• Minimum internet speed of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
• Suitable work surface and seating arrangements.
• Must reside in the United States, excluding California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington.
• Required to undergo a background investigation.
• May need to acquire an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hiring, if applicable.
• Individuals with an active insurance license must terminate any existing appointments and cannot hold outside appointments during employment.
