This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +42 more states.
• Implement quality assurance methodologies to assess the output and efficiency of claims business processes.
• Plan, execute, analyze, and present the results of claims-related auditing activities.
• Organize activities and lead teams under general management guidance.
• Examine quantitative claim and financial data to pinpoint auditing opportunities and define the appropriate scope.
• Review claim handling events to gather qualitative insights.
• Analyze qualitative audit data to track, communicate, and address significant issues and control gaps.
• Independently plan and execute claim-related audits and associated projects, collaborating with peers when necessary.
• Delegate collaborative tasks to colleagues and ensure progress towards mutual objectives when suitable.
• Compose compelling written reports for claims executives and business leaders.
• Cultivate and maintain a professional network with claims leaders.
• Facilitate project meetings effectively.
• Provide training to newer colleagues on the technical aspects of the role.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Step into temporary leadership or support roles within Claims QA or a claims team as required.
• Over 6 years of experience in property claims handling.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced degree (CPA, MBA) in a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with using data in spreadsheets and/or databases for risk identification.
• Previous audit experience is preferred.
• Capability to identify interdependencies within complex business processes and foresee potential risks.
• Ability to formulate recommendations and solutions to complex issues based on data analysis.
• Proficient in conveying complex data and concepts in person, virtually, in writing, and through formal presentations.
• Skilled in teaching, leading, and mentoring others.
• Competence in advocating, persuading, and influencing employees from entry-level to senior leadership.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with simple relational databases, primarily MS Access.
• Adaptability to changing deadlines and priorities.
• Willingness to travel as needed for divisional/team meetings and other in-person engagements.
• Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the United States.
• CSAA does not offer visa sponsorship.
• BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Certification in the insurance and/or physical damage industry, such as AIC or ICAR, is preferred.
• 2–3 years of auditing experience is preferred.
