Home Infusion RN – Independent Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Conduct in-home visits for infusion therapy in accordance with the established care plan.

• Prepare clinical documentation and nursing notes, detailing patient interventions.

• Serve as a clinical resource and collaborate efficiently with pharmacy departments.

• Stay informed about drug side effects and interactions.

• Provide both telephone and in-person education to patients regarding therapy protocols, potential drug side effects, and home infusion procedures.

• Ensure that patients comprehend their therapy plans, medications, and adherence requirements.

• Act as a liaison among patients, families, and pharmacy personnel.

• Conduct thorough initial and periodic head-to-toe assessments of patients.

• Initiate preventative and rehabilitative care measures.

• Assess patient needs through evaluation data and input from the care team, physician, patient, and family.

• Manage expectations of patients and families concerning services, outcomes, and discharge objectives.

• Establish primary and secondary diagnoses based on patient assessments and home health care focus.

• Formulate care plans that include skilled interventions, medical supplies, and any necessary services.

• Assess patient progress and adjust care plans as required.

• Perform additional assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.

• Possess a current RN state license.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in home infusion and infusion centers.

• At least 2 years of experience with IV Immunoglobulins and IV Biologics.

• CRNI certification is preferred.

• Preferred experience with peripheral IV starts, infusion therapy, and phlebotomy for both adult and pediatric patients.

• Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to maintain consistently accurate records.

• Capability to direct information to the appropriate healthcare provider.

• Proficient in computer skills, including word processing and effective use of the internet and email.

• Current CPR and BLS certifications from the Red Cross and AHA.

• Valid driver’s license is required.

• Reliable transportation and automobile insurance are necessary.

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
