High School Spanish Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the delivery of designated high school Spanish course materials in a virtual setting.

• Offer instruction, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning process.

• Tailor learning experiences and differentiate instruction according to student proficiency.

• Provide both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities.

• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system.

• Maintain the grade book and ensure the integrity of student academics.

• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion and inform administrators of performance issues.

• Prepare students for critical standardized assessments.

• Foster positive relationships with families and maintain communication with students, parents, and learning coaches.

• Assist parents and learning coaches with curricular support, instructional guidance, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with fellow educators to analyze student data and inform instructional strategies.

• Travel as needed for professional development, student assessments, and school events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Spanish teaching certificate for Grades 8-12.

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Active state teaching license essential.

• Residency in Texas is mandatory.

• Capability to pass necessary background checks.

• Ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Capacity to maintain a professional and distraction-free home office during work hours.

• Skill in interpreting and creating numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data.

• Competence in utilizing student data to inform instructional choices.

• Open to regular coaching from administrators and educational trainers.

• Willingness to adapt and embrace change to achieve optimal student outcomes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Commitment to maintaining teacher certification and professional development requirements.

• Familiarity with K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.

• Experience with the targeted age group.

• Background in supporting both adults and children in technology use.

• Experience in teaching online/virtually as well as in traditional classroom settings.

• Familiarity with online learning platforms.
