This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement educational strategies that enhance learning and boost student engagement.
• Develop instructional materials tailored to diverse student needs.
• Collaborate with parents and colleagues on course objectives, curriculum, and resources.
• Engage in Professional Learning Communities and ongoing professional development.
• Conduct live synchronous sessions.
• Analyze student data to recommend remediation and enrichment activities.
• Attend data analysis meetings to assess student progress.
• Gather data and work samples that support IEP goals.
• Document communications with parents, collaborations with teachers, and student interventions.
• Adjust and accommodate K12 lessons and assessments in line with IEP requirements.
• Work alongside general education teachers to foster inclusion and student achievement.
• Contribute to progress reports, semester reports, and grade evaluations.
• Provide special education services and assist teachers and parents with necessary accommodations.
• Communicate with parents and related service personnel about therapies for students with special needs.
• Travel at least once a month within and between assigned geographic areas to support students, attend meetings, and participate in activities, open houses, and orientations.
• Valid High School Science certification.
• Residency in Texas.
• Bachelor’s degree(s).
• At least six (6) months of student teaching experience.
• Teachers with one or more years of experience must present past performance data.
• Possession of teaching certificate(s).
• Submission of transcripts.
• Performance evaluations.
• Prior year state assessment data.
• Reference letter(s).
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel at least once a month within and between designated geographic areas.
• Experience working with the specified age group.
• Experience assisting adults and children in utilizing technology.
• Capability to quickly learn new technology tools, including database and web-based applications.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Capacity to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during working hours.
• Preferred: experience in a virtual environment.
• Preferred: experience teaching online or in a traditional classroom setting.
• Preferred: familiarity with Blackboard Collaborate or similar online platforms.
