High School Math Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver high school mathematics curriculum content in an online setting.

• Provide instruction, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning process.

• Tailor learning experiences to meet individual student needs.

• Track student progress utilizing Stride K12’s learning management system.

• Collaborate with students and parents/learning coaches to facilitate progress toward set objectives.

• Offer both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities.

• Differentiate instruction according to student mastery levels.

• Enhance course material using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools.

• Manage the grade book and uphold academic integrity.

• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.

• Notify administrators regarding concerns about student performance and advancement.

• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with families.

• Communicate promptly with students and learning coaches/parents.

• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues.

• Travel for professional development, student assessments, and other school-related activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A teaching certificate/license in mathematics for grades 8–12.

• If certification is from another state, obtain Indiana reciprocity within 60 days of hire.

• Residency in Indiana is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree.

• An active state teaching license.

• Ability to pass the required background check.

• Capacity to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Capability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during work hours.

• Flexibility to work typically from 9–5 or 8–4, or as specified by the school.

• Willingness to travel as needed, averaging once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time.

• Preferred experience working with the targeted age group.

• Preferred experience assisting adults and children in utilizing technology.

• Preferred experience in online or traditional classroom teaching.

• Preferred familiarity with online learning platforms.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
