This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Collaborate with at-risk students to deliver remediation and foster academic improvement.
• Adjust and tailor the K12 curriculum to meet state content standards and individual student requirements.
• Partner with general education teachers through one-on-one and small-group sessions.
• Inform parents about effective instructional strategies.
• Implement the RTI instructional framework to enhance student success.
• Supervise data collection and monitor progress at each RTI tier.
• Utilize student data to inform whole-group and small-group instructional planning.
• Assist teachers in identifying and grouping students who require additional support.
• Maintain RTI data, lists of eligible students, and intervention strategies.
• Act as a resource for administrators, leadership teams, and stakeholders regarding RTI matters.
• Coordinate and track Tier 2 interventions with teachers, advisors, counselors, and district staff.
• Provide training and support to staff on RTI execution and data-collection methods.
• Aid teachers in documenting student progress.
• Collaborate with the special education team to facilitate eligibility processes.
• Travel up to 20% for in-person professional development, student assessments, or school-related duties.
• High School (9-12) Math Teaching Certification from the South Carolina Department of Education.
• Must be a resident of South Carolina.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Active state teaching license is necessary.
• Must successfully pass a required background check.
• Capability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during working hours.
• Skill in interpreting and producing numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data.
• Competence in using student data to guide instructional choices.
• Open to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Willingness to embrace change and adapt for optimal student outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Capacity to maintain teacher certification and fulfill professional development requirements.
• Familiarity with K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
• Experience with the target age group is preferred.
• Experience aiding adults and children in technology usage is preferred.
• Experience teaching online/virtually or in a traditional classroom setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms is preferred.
