High School English Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Deliver designated course content in a virtual setting.

• Provide instruction, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning experience.

• Customize learning and vary instruction based on student mastery levels.

• Track student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system.

• Manage the grade book and make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.

• Notify administrators regarding any concerns related to student performance and progress.

• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.

• Build and sustain positive relationships with families.

• Communicate promptly with students and learning coaches/parents.

• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues.

• Travel as necessary for professional development, student assessments, and school events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Active teaching license for the state of Oklahoma.

• Oklahoma High School English Teaching Certification.

• 0–1 year of relevant professional experience.

• Must reside in Oklahoma.

• Capability to pass the required background check.

• Ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Capacity to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours.

• Experience working with the specified age group preferred.

• Experience in assisting adults and children in utilizing technology preferred.

• Experience in online teaching or in a physical classroom setting preferred.

• Familiarity with online learning platforms preferred.

• Ability to interpret and generate numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Capability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
