This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Collaborate with Iowa Connections Academy while working remotely from your home office in Iowa.
• Oversee instructional programs effectively.
• Regularly consult with learning coaches and students to guarantee the successful completion of the instructional program.
• Facilitate homeroom LiveLessons and provide assistance to students and their families.
• Motivate students to actively participate in their lessons and LiveLessons.
• Implement and manage programs related to intervention for students and families.
• Conduct weekly or biweekly check-ins with students at risk.
• Work together with the Professional School Counseling Team to support students in at-risk situations.
• Attend and engage in in-person training sessions and state testing activities.
• Valid teacher certification in any Secondary subject area.
• Must be a resident of Iowa or, with approval from the School Leader, be willing to cover travel expenses to participate in mandatory activities within Iowa.
• Proven strong technology skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, synchronous classroom tools like Zoom, third-party educational software such as Nearpod and Kahoot, and data collection tools including spreadsheets and databases.
• Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, with the capacity to effectively engage with staff, students, and families from diverse cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds.
• Keen attention to detail, with demonstrated time management and organizational skills, especially in independent work scenarios.
• Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues to cultivate an inclusive work and educational environment that supports diverse groups, including individuals of various races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, genders, and sexual orientations.
• A student- and family-centered approach, showcasing the ability to foster an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom that acknowledges and supports students from diverse backgrounds and identities.
• Willingness to travel for one or two weeks at a time for significant school events, including overnight travel for activities such as back-to-school training, state testing, graduation ceremonies, marketing events, and field trips.
• Must be able to utilize a personal electronic device and email for two-step authentication.
