Healthcare Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide technical support both onsite and remotely for customer-related issues.

• Identify and resolve issues related to systems, networks, and applications.

• Install, configure, integrate, and test solutions for patient monitoring and IT infrastructure.

• Address technical challenges utilizing approved tools, diagnostic methodologies, and test equipment.

• Investigate root causes and implement long-lasting solutions.

• Maintain documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting processes, and support procedures.

• Adhere to configuration management and version control protocols.

• Collaborate with senior engineers, clinical partners, as well as sales and service teams.

• Enhance technical knowledge and engage in knowledge-sharing and service improvement efforts.

• Provide support to healthcare customers across Missouri, Iowa, and Montana.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2.5 years of professional experience in IT services or similar technical fields.

• Preferred experience in a hospital or field-based healthcare setting.

• Strong preference for experience with patient monitoring systems, telemetry units, ventilators, and defibrillators.

• Basic understanding of IT systems, networking principles, and technical troubleshooting.

• Computer networking certification preferred, such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or an equivalent or higher-level certification.

• An associate degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Willingness to travel for business; approximately 75% travel required across Missouri, Iowa, and Montana.

• Ability to work in office/home office environments, as well as in hospital/healthcare settings.

• Must be able to meet vendor credentialing requirements.

• Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.

• Capability to wear necessary personal protective equipment.

• US work authorization is mandatory; no visa sponsorship available now or in the future.

• Candidates must reside in or be within commuting distance to St. Louis, Missouri.
