This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Analyze client workflows pertaining to utilization review, case management, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), coding, denials management, and revenue cycle operations.
• Collect and document business requirements from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess operational processes and pinpoint opportunities for enhancing efficiency, quality, turnaround times, and financial results.
• Formulate recommendations and implementation strategies based on operational insights.
• Aid in onboarding new clients and deploying HURC service offerings.
• Generate process maps, workflow documentation, training materials, and operational manuals.
• Support client meetings by preparing reports, dashboards, presentations, and action plans.
• Track operational metrics, identify trends, and convey findings to leadership and clients.
• Work collaboratively with clinical, coding, physician advisor, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Contribute to quality initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement projects.
• Employ Microsoft Excel and reporting tools to evaluate operational and performance data.
• Participate in client presentations and act as a reliable operational resource.
• Keep up to date with regulatory requirements, payer guidelines, and best practices in the healthcare industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in healthcare operations.
• 2–3 years of project management experience within healthcare, managed care, revenue cycle, utilization management, or healthcare consulting.
• Familiarity with one or more areas including: Utilization Review, Case Management, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), Medical Coding, Revenue Cycle, Managed Care, or Denials Management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic consulting environment.
• Strong organizational skills and project management expertise.
