Healthcare Policy Reporting Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough research on US healthcare policy data.

• Analyze and extract healthcare payer policy data for client-facing reports.

• Oversee established reporting processes while ensuring high data accuracy and efficiency through quality assurance.

• Communicate directly with clients to identify needs, outline deliverables, and present findings as necessary.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to perform analyses and create client dashboards and visualizations.

• Mentor and train new hires to support their development.

• Act as a representative of the research team in cross-departmental strategic initiatives.

• Assess content and processes, developing innovative methods to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

• Maintain a comprehensive database of healthcare payer policies.

• Manage internal research tools effectively.

• Conduct quality-control checks on own work as well as that of colleagues.

• Cultivate a deep understanding of the US healthcare landscape.

• Operate independently with minimal supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, at an intermediate to advanced level.

• Strong research skills, including the ability to synthesize and analyze insights from extensive data sets.

• Capable of summarizing, presenting, and defending findings to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• High level of attention to detail.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to convey and present findings to clients in a clear and concise manner.

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is advantageous, or 1–3 years of experience in a similar role is considered beneficial.

• Minimum of 1 year of quantitative and qualitative research experience.

• Familiarity with Prior Authorization, Billing and Coding, and Medical reimbursement is a plus.

• Experience in communicating findings to external clients is advantageous.

• Prior knowledge of the US healthcare market is preferred.

• Previous experience with healthcare data is beneficial.

• Relevant scientific knowledge or work experience in pharmaceuticals, oncology/immunology, medical devices/procedures, or diagnostics is desirable.

• Understanding of the US pharmaceutical, medical device, or diagnostic market access landscape is an asset.

• Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS codes is beneficial for relevant areas.

• Knowledge and/or experience in precision medicine and clinical genomics is highly valued for diagnostics.

• Experience in processing or approving diagnostic coverage claims is a plus.
