Healthcare Member Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage both incoming and outgoing calls to assist the healthcare client

• Provide outstanding customer service while following established protocols and guidelines

• Assist members with billing inquiries, quoting, medical or pharmacy benefits, requested materials, and claims investigations

• Utilize online systems to address and resolve customer questions

• Respond to customer inquiries with professional courtesy in accordance with client-specific instructions

• Record each customer's inquiry details into a database

• Verify customer information and make necessary corrections and updates

• Actively listen and provide additional information to enhance the customer experience

• Follow up with callers when needed

• Leverage statistical contact center data to improve overall performance

• Comply with scheduled shifts and work hours

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required

• Previous experience in a call center or customer service role is highly preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

• Capability to multitask effectively

• Proficiency in operating a computer, utilizing internet search engines, and navigating multiple windows/tabs

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods

• Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening

• Must pass pre-employment criteria testing and an internet speed test

• Must have a secure and enclosed work area free from distractions

• Must be able to provide a non-cellular high-speed internet connection such as Fiber, DSL, or cable modems for home office use

• Must meet minimum internet speed requirements of 20 mbps download and 12 mbps upload

• Hotspots, satellite, and wireless internet services are NOT permitted for this position
