Health & Safety Manager – EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Offer leadership, guidance, and expertise in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) for all non-manufacturing sites throughout the EMEA region.

• Design, implement, and uphold EHS programs, policies, procedures, training, and standards in alignment with legal and corporate mandates.

• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations concerning hazardous and non-hazardous waste, hazardous substances, ergonomics, and environmental protection.

• Oversee incident prevention and investigation processes.

• Track safety performance and perform audits.

• Present key EHS metrics to management.

• Collaborate with legal, compliance, engineering, facilities, and executive management to advance EHS goals.

• Propel strategic EHS initiatives and oversee departmental budgets.

• Actively identify risks and promote continuous improvement and a culture free from incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, EHS Law, or a related field.

• Several years of pertinent professional experience.

• In-depth knowledge of EMEA health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Capability to effectively apply EHS laws and regulations in industrial settings.

• Experience collaborating with international stakeholders.

• Proven experience in managing change or leading projects within an EMEA context.

• Established record of implementing safety enhancements.

• Successful achievement of certifications like ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.

• Assertive, proactive individual willing to assume responsibility.

• Strong situational awareness and emotional intelligence.
