Health & Safety Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• The Manager of Safety oversees operations related to injury prevention, task evaluation, safety communication, hazardous materials storage and transportation compliance, as well as regulatory adherence.

• Promotes and supports safe practices and environmental commitments in line with the company’s values, policies, and compliance obligations.

• Conducts risk assessments prior to operations at new sites, designing, proposing, and implementing risk mitigation strategies within the region.

• Provides training and coaching to local Health & Safety Managers, ensuring technical proficiency and leadership development throughout the region.

• Oversees safety policies, programs, and procedures for the designated region, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local Health, Safety & Environmental regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a medium to large warehouse in a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) management role, supervising 5 or more associates.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene) is preferred.

• Previous experience in conducting safety observations/inspections and developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans.

• Knowledge and understanding of current Environmental/Sustainability Topics (e.g., Environmental Regulations, Green Energy Technologies, Greenhouse Gases, Waste and Recycling, Energy/Water Conservation, etc.).

• Strong computer skills are necessary, with proficiency in MS Office Applications.

• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification or similar is preferred.

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking); bilingual skills are preferred.
