This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist SCAN prospects and members in identifying health plan options that promote health and independence.
• Achieve positive enrollments and create new business opportunities.
• Build community relationships that align with growth objectives.
• Foster member retention initiatives.
• Initiate and cultivate opportunities for sales presentations, group meetings, community events, and senior activities within the designated service area.
• Establish and nurture productive relationships with providers and community leaders.
• Generate and develop sales leads to create a personal book of business.
• Input leads into the company CRM system.
• Develop sales resources and establish a network of opportunities and contacts.
• Address member inquiries and actively communicate with existing members.
• Adhere to established production goals and performance standards.
• Produce reports that provide production data and assess growth objectives.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through participation in educational workshops.
• Review performance metrics with leadership to formulate sales strategies.
• Enhance sales techniques and processes.
• Comply with state and regulatory guidelines as well as CMS, MIPPA, Compliance Department, and other relevant policies.
• Complete mandatory training on Medicare, Medi-Cal, and SCAN benefits.
• Contribute to team efforts and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Support SCAN’s Vision and Goals.
• Must reside in Stanislaus or San Joaquin Counties.
• A valid health license in California is required.
• Annual CMS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience in Medicare sales is essential.
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Sales and marketing experience within the healthcare sector is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to operate under general supervision and manage moderately complex issues.
• A solid understanding of the subject matter is required.
• Potential to provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to junior staff.
• Successful completion of all mandatory training on Medicare, Medi-Cal, and SCAN benefits is required.
• A background check is mandatory.
