Head of Technical Accounting – Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the forensic examination and reconciliation of intricate historical data to establish a solid, "audit-ready" foundation.

• Connect raw custodial data with GAAP reporting, ensuring that every transaction is linked to its original source.

• Serve as the internal expert on ASC 606 and 805, particularly in relation to principal vs. agent distinctions, M&A integrations, and DeFi yield protocols.

• Spearhead the creation of detailed financial disclosures and MD&A for potential registration statements and SEC interactions, including S-1/F-1 prospectus disclosures.

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for offshore teams while enhancing the integration between our crypto sub-ledgers and NetSuite.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience transitioning from Big 4 Audit/Technical Desks to Accounting Advisory (e.g., CFGI, FTI, EY, KPMG, FTI) or in-house accounting at a high-growth digital assets firm, FinTech startup, broker dealer, or investment bank.

• Enjoyment in solving the "puzzle" of constructing legal entity financials from high-volume, unstructured data sources.

• Proficiency in Workiva, NetSuite, and crypto sub-ledgers (Luca, TaxBit, or BitWave).

• Direct experience with SEC Pre-clearance, Purchase Accounting (ASC 805), and DeFi Accounting.

• Ability to collaborate with Trading and BizDev teams to evaluate the accounting implications of DeFi yields and "wrapped" assets prior to their launch.

• Proven track record in developing SOPs for offshore teams to enhance month-end processes.
