This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Responsible for managing the Australian P&L and spearheading the commercial growth of the Australian market from start to finish, focusing on new logo acquisition, partnership development, account expansion, and customer success, while being accountable for revenue, retention, and the journey to A$100M ARR.
• Serving as the representative for Beam in Australia, overseeing our most significant relationships with central and state government entities, large enterprise human services providers, and key leadership figures of major not-for-profits. Acting as Beam's voice at sector events, in dealings with the media, regulators, and influential market leaders.
• Developing and mentoring a high-performing team, starting with four top talents and expanding to approximately 8 full-time equivalents by the end of 2026. Responsible for hiring, onboarding, coaching, and providing the resources necessary to transform talented individuals into a cohesive team.
• Personally closing the most critical, complex, and strategic deals—those that require the country leader's involvement rather than that of an account executive.
• Defining our winning strategies by identifying and implementing systems, rituals, and playbooks that enable the team to operate swiftly and enhance performance. We are still in the process of drafting our roadmap rather than merely following one.
• Acting as the voice of the Australian market in centralized decision-making processes, translating local insights into product priorities, commercial strategies, and resourcing proposals that gain traction at the leadership level.
• Establishing Beam's leadership in the sector by enhancing our reputation in Australia through customer success stories, public commentary, and providing a credible perspective on the future of frontline human services.
• Proven track record as a dealmaker, having successfully closed A$1M+ ACV deals with regulated buyers (state or federal government, NDIS providers, enterprise not-for-profits, or similar) in the past two years.
• Outstanding emotional intelligence. You have the ability to discern what truly drives decisions within an organization and engage with the buyer on that level; whether it be the CEO’s reform agenda, workforce challenges, failed audits, or reputational risks.
• Clear inclination towards action. You have successfully navigated the 0 to 1 phase at a venture-backed firm that has achieved significant growth. You were responsible for creating the initial pricing models, ideal customer profiles, qualifying questions, and closing strategies.
• Experience in building scalable systems. You have developed playbooks, tools, rituals, and hiring standards that facilitate your team's growth beyond your direct involvement.
• Executive presence. You can seamlessly transition from a meeting with a Departmental Secretary in Canberra to engaging with the CEO of a large not-for-profit, ensuring both discussions conclude with the buyer eager to collaborate with you.
• Demonstrated experience in regulated and complex industries, having successfully closed SaaS deals within intricate procurement systems while maintaining the agility of a startup in a heavily regulated purchasing environment.
• Exceptional team leader. You are a magnet for talent, having built elite teams by implementing effective systems and working methods that empower your direct reports to thrive and grow independently.
