Head of SSHEQ

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead strategic SSHEQ initiatives that promote business development and operational excellence.

• Drive continuous improvement, foster innovation, and facilitate transformational change.

• Advocate for the integration of technology, data, and insights to enhance performance.

• Support and guide operational leaders in elevating standards and embedding best practices.

• Assist in achieving sustainability and ESG objectives.

• Cultivate and motivate a high-performing team and a broader SSHEQ culture.

• Establish trusted relationships with customers, stakeholders, and senior leadership.

• Provide advice and collaborate with the SSHEQ Director on strategic business priorities.

• Shape strategy, drive performance, and integrate safety, sustainability, and quality throughout the organization.

• Travel to various sites across the UK in a national capacity.

• Senior leadership experience in telecoms, infrastructure, utilities, construction, or another complex operational setting.

• Demonstrated success in leading cultural change, enhancing performance, and raising standards on a large scale.

• Strong commercial insight, recognizing how exceptional SSHEQ performance supports operational execution, customer satisfaction, and business growth.

• Confidence and credibility to influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

• Experience in driving transformation, implementing innovative working methods, and leveraging technology to improve results.

• Capability to build robust relationships with customers and represent the organization at a senior level.

• Passion for developing talent, enhancing capabilities, and fostering high-performing teams.

• Proficient in engaging with frontline operational teams, presenting to senior leaders, and representing the organization with major clients.
