This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• You will take ownership of BAO’s sales pipeline, ensuring that inbound inquiries are assessed, qualified, and advanced with clarity and consideration.
• Your role involves understanding the client's business, their goals, existing eCommerce setup, challenges, and what they aim to achieve.
• You will be tasked with developing high-quality proposals that effectively communicate BAO’s understanding of the client’s requirements and our approach to the project.
• The Head of Sales will play a pivotal role in converting qualified opportunities into new project and retainer clients.
• You will ensure that BAO’s sales pipeline is recorded and maintained in a straightforward, accurate, and commercially beneficial manner.
• The Head of Sales will also be responsible for creating and managing a high-quality sales contact database.
• You will collaborate cross-functionally with BAO’s marketing team to ensure alignment between sales activities and marketing initiatives.
• The Head of Sales may represent BAO at industry events both in the UK and internationally.
• You will be expected to provide context regarding the opportunity, the client’s objectives, known sensitivities, agreed scope, commercial parameters, and any crucial information gathered during the sales process.
• Demonstrable experience in a sales, commercial, or new business role, preferably within an eCommerce, digital, creative, or technical agency environment.
• Experience in managing a sales pipeline and advancing opportunities from inquiry to closure.
• Strong grasp of consultative sales and relationship-driven business development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead calls and meetings with confidence, clarity, and professionalism.
• Experience in creating or contributing to proposals, scopes of work, commercial documents, or pitch materials.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to discern good-fit and poor-fit opportunities.
• Sufficient technical knowledge to discuss eCommerce requirements credibly with clients and internal specialists.
• Experience in maintaining a sales pipeline, CRM, or equivalent system with precision and commercial discipline.
• Ability to analyze sales data and present clear pipeline updates, forecasts, and recommendations.
• Experience in building or managing a prospect/contact database.
• Comfortable collaborating with marketing teams to align campaigns, content, events, and thought leadership with commercial opportunities.
• Confidence in representing a business externally at client meetings, industry events, or partner discussions.
• High standards of personal presentation in writing, video calls, or in-person interactions.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• A measured, mature, and emotionally intelligent approach to client relationships.
• Ability to work independently while closely collaborating with a senior team.
• UK-based availability, with the flexibility to travel for client meetings, pitches, and industry events as required.
