This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the inbound candidate pipeline for all full-time positions, managing the process from application to offer across engineering, product, marketing, fundraising, policy, and finance/ops.
• Actively source and engage passive candidates for challenging technical roles utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, various communities, and networking events.
• Establish and sustain warm pipelines for prospective future roles while nurturing relationships with talent pools in privacy, ML/AI, and open-source sectors.
• Formulate recruiting strategies, enhance the recruitment function, mentor hiring managers, and tailor processes based on departmental or managerial needs.
• Oversee the hiring processes from start to finish, ensuring candidates remain in the pipeline and no one is overlooked.
• Collaborate with department leads, managing pipelines to allow them to concentrate on late-stage interviews and hiring decisions.
• Take charge of the careers page, including job descriptions, application flow, and conversion tracking.
• Monitor pipeline metrics such as pass-through rates, time to hire, and candidate drop-off, while working on areas for improvement.
• Select, create, and modify AI tools to enhance sourcing, screening, and recruiting efficiency.
• Develop Job Alignment Tools, create job postings, and formulate interview questions; facilitate skills assessments with hiring managers.
• Advertise positions on Workable, appropriate job boards, and the internal website.
• Review and prioritize applications while maintaining the Workable pipeline.
• Carry out initial technical screenings to evaluate baseline qualifications in areas like privacy-preserving computation, federated architectures, LLM integrations, and infrastructure technologies.
• Manage and assess skills-test next steps, escalating borderline cases with written recommendations.
• Prepare structured interview packets, coordinate interviews, and provide scorecards, candidate summaries, and contextual insights.
• Ensure completion of scorecards, compile interview feedback, and facilitate hiring decisions.
• Attract and secure talent, coordinate job offers, keep candidates engaged, and deliver respectful rejections.
• May offer project-based recruiting assistance for part-time business development or marketing positions.
• Experience in full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, encompassing engineering and product management, from application review to offer stage.
• Proven experience in recruiting AI/ML engineers.
• Demonstrated outbound sourcing experience engaging with passive candidates.
• Background in recruiting for a software product organization.
• Experience in recruiting for roles outside of engineering, such as marketing, fundraising, or policy.
• Proven success in securing candidates against more lucrative offers.
• Adequate technical literacy to analyze engineering resumes, identify relevant technologies, and conduct credible screening discussions.
• Experience in creating and administering structured interviews, scorecards, and skills assessments.
• Current engagement with AI tools in recruiting for sourcing, screening, and efficiency purposes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through, with a method for tracking open items across multiple concurrent pipelines.
• Strong familiarity with applicant tracking systems, preferably Workable; project management tools, ideally Asana; and documentation tools, preferably Notion.
• Experience in recruiting for remote organizations and collaborating with U.S. employers.
• Residing in the United States within +/- 1 hour of Eastern Time.
• Genuine interest in privacy, AI, and open-source technology, with the ability to discuss OpenMined and related technical concepts comfortably.
