Head of R&D, Kraft Paper

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the product innovation strategy for the Kraft Paper division.

• Assist in cross-segment innovation initiatives.

• Oversee the creation of new paper grades and applications tailored to strategic markets and evolving customer demands.

• Enhance the usage of internally manufactured papers in R&D initiatives throughout the value chain.

• Establish collaborations with customers, suppliers, academic institutions, and research organizations.

• Work in conjunction with R&D, Operations, and Sales professionals to convert ideas into marketable solutions.

• Lead and advance the Kraft Paper R&D team across Austria, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and potentially Canada.

• Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices across various sites, functions, and business divisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in R&D, product development, or a similar leadership position.

• Preferably, experience within the paper, packaging, or related manufacturing sectors.

• A proven history of leading and executing intricate R&D and innovation projects from inception to commercialization.

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

• A creative, inquisitive mindset with an open approach to innovation.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.
