This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Lead assigned project managers, ensure the development of the PM function, adherence to defined timelines, and proper execution of processes.
• Manage and support the initiation and launch processes of projects, including team formation, resource planning, and establishing the necessary project management foundations.
• Provide guidance and oversight for the work of project managers; plan, conduct, and facilitate regular team meetings.
• Identify, implement, and enhance processes, policies, and standards for the effective execution of projects and cross-functional collaboration.
• Perform project management functions on assigned projects, ensuring goals, timelines, responsibilities, and budgets are met.
• Review resource needs and ensure they are adequate to achieve outcomes and key milestones.
• Develop the Project Management function through mentoring, coaching, and professional development of managers.
• Act as the resource manager for the Project Management team and propose solutions to management.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of project management KPIs.
• Identify project resource needs and develop succession plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, communicate issues, and escalate matters when necessary.
• Build effective communication channels to provide the management team with up-to-date information.
• Participate in hiring decisions in line with departmental budget and business needs.
• Adhere to HR policies and procedures, including 1:1 meetings, goal setting, development plans, and performance evaluations.
• Address employee complaints and work-related issues and manage conflicts regarding resource allocation.
• 4+ years of experience managing teams of project managers.
• English language proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
• Experience with project management systems and software.
• Proven ability to foster effective team collaboration and motivate employees within a matrix organizational structure.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership by example and encourage team members to find solutions independently.
• Successful experience in team management, goal setting, performance management, mentoring, and coaching.
• Proactivity and the ability to make informed decisions independently, prioritize tasks, and work with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility during periods of change and the ability to work with ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Result-oriented, with the capability to anticipate and resolve issues before they impact budget or timelines.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills for interaction with cross-functional teams and management.
• Ability to understand the strategic direction of the company and manage interdependencies between projects.
