This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Technical and disciplinary leadership as well as continuous development of a quality team of approximately 10 employees
• End-to-end responsibility for all product-related quality activities within a defined pharmaceutical portfolio
• Development and implementation of a comprehensive quality strategy throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Ensuring patient safety, product availability, and compliance while considering national and international regulatory requirements
• Actively contributing to the product and portfolio strategy from a quality perspective
• Responsibility for proactive quality risk management, including assessment, prioritization, and control of product-related risks
• Advancement of preventive quality measures for the continuous improvement of product and process quality
• Organization, prioritization, and distribution of operational tasks within the team, along with final decision-making authority
• Central point of contact and escalation instance for quality-related inquiries
• Collaboration with international and cross-departmental interfaces, particularly in Supply Chain Management and Regulatory Affairs
• Management of external partners and service providers, including performance management and ensuring quality standards
• Responsibility for budget planning and achieving objectives within the portfolio
• Planning and supporting the onboarding as well as the professional and personal development of team members
• Successfully completed a degree in natural sciences or pharmaceuticals, such as Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a comparable field
• At least ten years of professional experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry
• A minimum of seven years of experience in disciplinary leadership of employees
• Proven experience in leading international and cross-departmental quality teams
• Extensive experience with product-related quality activities and quality responsibility throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of international regulatory requirements and GMP guidelines
• Experience in managing external manufacturers, service providers, or cooperation partners
• Strong strategic thinking ability and capability to integrate quality aspects into product and portfolio decisions
• Proficient handling of complex escalation and conflict situations
• High decision-making and implementation strength, along with a structured, solution-oriented, and responsible work approach
• Excellent communication and persuasion skills
• Proficient in German and English
• High quality and responsibility awareness with a focus on patient safety, compliance, and product availability
• Willingness to undertake occasional business trips
