Head of Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the comprehensive product vision for PAYO-USD issuance, redemption, and payment processes.

• Organize the roadmap in alignment with regulatory milestones, from readiness for pre-opening examinations through a controlled pilot to general availability.

• Remove obstacles for the engineering team by prioritizing tasks, establishing clear acceptance criteria, and managing technical trade-offs.

• Ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance standards.

• Collaborate with the Compliance team to integrate KYC, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring into product workflows.

• Document user journeys to facilitate rigorous regulatory review.

• Design the controlled pilot, which includes transaction volume limits, phased merchant onboarding, and criteria for launch.

• Enforce a feature-freeze policy prior to user acceptance testing.

• Own product specifications for core banking, custody, screening, and oracle infrastructure partners.

• Drive integration choices in collaboration with the Engineering team.

• Shape requirements that support proof-of-reserve attestation and 1:1 backing verification.

• Present product decisions to the board, management committees, and OCC examiners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in product management.

• More than 5 years of experience in payments, banking, or digital assets.

• Direct experience in launching products within a regulated financial organization.

• Experience under the supervision of the OCC, Federal Reserve, or state banking authorities.

• Proven track record of successfully taking a complex product from conception to market launch.

• Experience managing technical dependencies, pilot development, and phased rollouts.

• Working knowledge of mint/burn processes, reserve backing, redemption rights, and on-chain/off-chain reconciliation.

• Ability to incorporate compliance requirements into the core architecture of the product.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to produce documentation for review by regulators and external auditors.

• Competence in presenting information to examiners.
