This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee employee relations functions and act as the main point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and policy interpretation. Manage employee relations issues independently, including guiding managers on performance and conduct matters while resolving workplace challenges with minimal oversight. Accurately document issues and processes. Use discretion in identifying and escalating complex or high-risk situations to the VP and external counsel, maintaining a clear written record.

• Develop and implement a coaching curriculum for managers across various functions. Guide managers through employee relations challenges, including performance issues, difficult conversations, team dynamics, and conflict resolution. Continuously update a manager toolkit to lessen dependence on People & Culture for routine personnel decisions. Identify skill gaps among management and create targeted development initiatives.

• Lead the complete recruiting process for technical and non-leadership positions, encompassing sourcing, screening, interview design, and offer coordination. Oversee the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure a consistent and well-documented candidate experience. Create interview frameworks aligned with PJMF's competency model and assist the VP with senior-level searches.

• Manage the annual and mid-year performance review cycle from start to finish: system initiation, communication, calibration preparation, timeline oversight, and quality assessments. Enhance our performance management framework on our third-party platform. Aid managers in crafting evidence-based evaluations. Identify trends in team ratings and provide a calibration perspective to the VP.

• Create an annual Learning & Development calendar that aligns with organizational competency needs. Design onboarding processes that expedite the time-to-contribution for new hires. Source and manage external facilitators and vendors for specific programs or organizational needs.

• Oversee daily HR operations, including new hire onboarding, offboarding, employment verifications, and status changes. Manage benefits in collaboration with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO). Ensure compliance with federal and multi-state employment laws for a remote workforce. Supervise record retention and I-9 compliance. Maintain HRIS accuracy and serve as the primary system administrator for all HR systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, with at least 7 years in roles concentrated on employee relations, manager development and coaching, or talent management. Technical recruiting experience is essential. Team management experience is preferred.

• Proven ability to effectively coach managers through performance and conduct challenges.

• Extensive knowledge across critical HR areas: employee relations, talent development, performance management, full-cycle recruitment, compensation and benefits, and multi-state employment law.

• Experience in designing and delivering impactful learning programs that facilitate behavior change. Demonstrated skill in conducting coaching conversations and group facilitation sessions for managers at all levels. Capable of articulating persuasive arguments both verbally and in writing, ensuring stakeholders leave your sessions with clarity on priorities and next steps.

• Practical experience with Google Workspace, Asana, Culture Amp, or a similar performance platform, an ATS, and LinkedIn Recruiter. Proven use of AI tools in an HR context, possessing sufficient knowledge to assess new tools, identify limitations, and advise the team on practical applications.

• Direct experience with HRIS systems, benefits administration, and multi-state compliance in a remote work setting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. HR certification is highly preferred.
