• Develop, document, assign responsibility for, and evaluate recurring processes through systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in Notion.
• Identify gaps in functionality, define roles, create performance scorecards, and manage the recruitment, screening, hiring, and onboarding of team members.
• Establish a team of 4–6 functional leaders who will independently manage their areas within 12 months.
• Oversee weekly operational reporting and create a single source of truth for inventory levels, stockouts, cost per order, channel and subscription revenue, vendor performance, and operational key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Translate decisions into documented specifications with assigned owners, deadlines, and clear definitions of completion, ensuring follow-through until tasks are completed.
• Create an accurate inventory system of record and purchase order (PO) calendar.
• Automate the reporting of subscription and channel revenue.
• Design a concise one-page weekly operations scorecard.
• Develop a comprehensive SOP library that is fully owned.
• Generate vendor scorecards for every agency and partner.
• Maintain a current hiring pipeline with role-specific scorecards and work-sample assessments.
• Establish repeatable onboarding processes and develop any necessary departments that currently do not exist.
• Minimize the Founder’s involvement in daily operations, ultimately making the role unnecessary for routine execution.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations within a physical product or direct-to-consumer (DTC) company.
• Preferably experienced in managing a brand with annual revenues between $20M and $50M.
• Direct ownership or exposure to supply chain management, inventory control, 3PL/fulfillment, customer support operations, creative processes, and growth teams.
• Documented evidence of having built something from the ground up, with the ability to demonstrate this achievement.
• Experience in hiring, onboarding, managing personnel, and, when necessary, conducting terminations.
• Proficient in Shopify, Notion, spreadsheets, and Claude/AI tools.
• Knowledgeable about lead times, purchase orders, landed costs, inventory, fulfillment, and 3PLs.
• Willingness to engage in hands-on work, including detailed spreadsheet inventory reconciliation.
• Capable of diagnosing operational challenges by tracing changes back to their root causes.
• Comfortable operating in environments where processes or functions are either broken or not well-defined.
• Possibility of an equity discussion at the 12-month milestone, dependent on performance and progression towards the COO criteria.
