Head of Marketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• The Head of Marketing will leverage iiDENTIFii’s expertise in biometric identity, customer trust, and product strategy to establish a distinct market presence, a credible commercial narrative, and a measurable growth engine.

• This position will aid in transforming technical credibility and customer trust into market assurance and commercial expansion.

• You will be responsible for both leading and building the team.

• This senior leadership role reports directly to the CEO and encompasses comprehensive oversight of the marketing function, which currently includes brand management, content creation, demand generation, product marketing, events, and sales enablement.

• It is a role characterized by high autonomy and accountability: you will work independently, make significant decisions swiftly, and elevate the standards of marketing excellence within a technically advanced, security-focused biometric identity organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of experience in B2B marketing, including a minimum of 5–7 years in a senior marketing leadership capacity.

• A demonstrated history of building, scaling, and managing marketing functions in technically advanced, fast-moving environments.

• Proven success in owning a marketing portfolio from start to finish, encompassing strategy and branding through to demand generation and commercial results.

• Experience in fintech, regtech, identity, cybersecurity, or related B2B technology sectors is highly preferred.

• Experience in startup or scaleup settings is strongly preferred; you should be comfortable operating quickly amidst ambiguity and minimal structure.

• Capable of supporting the CEO, board, and investor-facing communications by translating market trends, customer validation, competitive dynamics, and commercial strategies into clear strategic messaging.
