Head of Global Purchasing Governance – Contracts

📋 Description

• Drive the global strategy for purchasing contracts and agreements, ensuring they align with business goals and contribute to long-term organizational success.

• Develop industry-leading standards for contracts, including terminology and governance frameworks.

• Lead the digital transformation of contract management through AI-driven solutions and streamlined processes.

• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Sales, and Procurement stakeholders to create robust contract solutions that balance risk, value creation, and operational requirements.

• Provide expert negotiation support to global purchasing teams, offering advice on contractual language, commercial trade-offs, risk mitigation, and financial considerations.

• Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure contract compliance, process excellence, and sustainable business value.

• Oversee cross-functional projects aimed at implementing and optimizing purchasing documentation and agreement processes.

• Enhance data-driven decision-making within Purchasing, Logistics, and Supply Chain functions.

• Identify and address risks related to suppliers, commercial factors, financial issues, sustainability, and geopolitical concerns.

• Translate sustainability trends and regulatory requirements into supplier expectations and sourcing strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a strong analytical mindset with the capability to convert data and insights into effective business decisions and measurable outcomes.

• Have a solid understanding of global supply chain risk management, emerging procurement technologies, and market trends.

• Exhibit a strong global perspective, able to think and act beyond regional boundaries while balancing local needs with global business objectives.

• Willingness to travel for business purposes up to 30% of the time (based on the calendar year).

• Hold a university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

• Demonstrate solid professional experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, with a proven record of driving strategic initiatives, global negotiations, and sourcing excellence.

• Showcase leadership and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to influence and collaborate across global cross-functional teams.

• Fluent in both German and English, combined with a proactive, results-oriented, and innovative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
