Head of Engineering – Director/VP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Build and expand high-performing engineering teams by recruiting and nurturing technical talent.

• Define and lead the technical strategy, execution, and long-term roadmap in alignment with business objectives.

• Manage architecture, infrastructure, and implement best practices for scalable and reliable systems.

• Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Oversee engineering operations to facilitate rapid product development and delivery.

• Establish engineering processes, CI/CD workflows, and DevOps best practices.

• Work alongside founders, product, and business teams to influence the strategic direction of the company.

• Promote cross-functional collaboration among engineering, product, and design teams.

• Lead initiatives focused on performance optimization, security, and cost efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering.

• At least 4 years in leadership positions.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and scale engineering teams in high-growth startup settings.

• Proficiency in backend, full-stack, or infrastructure development utilizing modern cloud technologies.

• Strong understanding of scalable architectures, distributed systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Proven history of hiring, retaining, and developing top engineering talent.

• Capability to balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic decision-making at a high level.

• Solid grasp of Agile methodologies, engineering execution, and product development lifecycles.

• Experience in venture-backed startups or rapidly scaling technology companies.
