Head of Engineering – Boosters

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Establishing an engineering function for rapid experimentation and product changes while ensuring the stability of key systems.

• Translating business strategy into a technical roadmap and executing it through systems, code, and outcomes.

• Making architectural decisions for web, native applications (desktop, mobile), and browser extensions.

• Advancing AI-native engineering.

• Leading the engineering team, conducting code reviews, mentoring, onboarding new engineers, and assisting with prioritization.

• Conducting 1:1 meetings, onboarding processes, and developing PDP plans.

• Building collaboration with NLP, product, design teams, and growth initiatives.

• Ensuring the reliability of infrastructure and configuring DevOps processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of technical experience, with a preference for back-end development.

• At least 2 years in a Team Lead / Engineering Manager / Head of Engineering role or an equivalent position.

• Experience managing engineering teams of at least 10 individuals.

• Strong technical foundation and deep understanding of web and mobile product architecture.

• Extensive knowledge of React.js, Web SPA, Next.js, Go, PostgresDB, AWS, and the AI stack.

• Practical experience with AI/ML/NLP, model implementation, working with LLM, and API integrations.

• Understanding and practical experience with CI/CD, Docker, and DevOps practices.

• Experience in product companies or startups that have undergone rapid scaling.

• English proficiency at a B2 level or higher.
